Do Your Drivers Know The Consequences?

30 March 2017

With the new mobile phone laws in place, putting your phone away has never been so important. From 1st March, drivers caught using a mobile phone device will get 6 penalty points and an on the spot fine of £200. You could also be taken to court and receive a maximum fine of £1000 (£2,500 if you are driving a lorry or bus).

It is Illegal to use your phone whilst driving unless you have hands free access, such as:

  •  Bluetooth Headset
  • Voice command
  • A dashboard Holder

The Law Still applies if you are:

  • Stopped at traffic lights
  • queuing in traffic
  • supervising a learner driver.
