Who we are?
HM Referencing hit the ground running in 2012 when Gordon Hazelton and the team at Hazelton Mountford found that referencing companies weren’t providing accurate results to our letting agents and landlords.
Having honed the skills and become exceedingly familiar with the needs of the UK’s letting agents, HM Referencing has merged the benefits of innovative digital referencing with reliable and robust people-focussed traditional referencing, to create a hybrid option for agents that want more. We stand proud in the industry and are known for providing a thorough, speedy, and accurate service, with the accessible support of a team of professional and experienced referencing agents.
HM Referencing gives the peace of mind to letting agents and landlords that their tenants have been thoroughly screened and are financially able to pay the rent. We would expect to see the turnaround time for comprehensive references to be 1-3 business days. Any applications that fall outside of these turnaround times will be due to an external factor, for example an employer processing references within a certain number of days which might fall outside of our own processing times. In these instances, we offer a flexible approach and can look to verify information by alternative means.
